A British Columbia Notary Public is a legal alternative for the practice of Law of specialized areas in B.C. involving non-contentious matters. Unlike Notaries in most other provinces, in British Columbia Notaries Public are Members of the Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia, a self regulating body. B.C. Notaries derive their powers from the legislated Notaries Act of British Columbia.
